Visualisation of the BlessYou online store

Project summary

We rebuilt the BlessYou online store, an e-commerce brand offering products with a Christian message, so that technology would no longer limit sales, customer service, and product range development. The client was already using an active store, but its previous form was too slow and difficult to maintain. The homepage, without caching, took up to several dozen seconds to load, which negatively impacted user experience and the purchasing process.

Instead of trying to fix a flawed solution, we designed and implemented the store from scratch — leveraging a popular CMS platform with e-commerce features, whilst placing a particular emphasis on technical aspects. As a result, the store is lighter, easier to maintain, and better prepared for further expansion. The implementation included custom graphic design, simplifying the purchasing process, improving the mobile experience, integrations supporting order fulfilment, and features expanding the product range, such as product personalisation. The store was also prepared for expansion into international markets.

The result is a faster, more flexible, and more user-friendly online store that better meets the needs of BlessYou's customers and provides the brand with a solid foundation for further growth.

The challenge

The brand already had an active online store and a highly informed approach to online sales. The client realised that e-commerce must not only look good, but above all, perform quickly, simplify purchasing, and support the expansion of the product range.

The existing store had served its purpose at an earlier stage, but over time it began to limit the business. It was too slow, more difficult to maintain, and based on solutions that did not offer sufficient flexibility for further expansion. The most noticeable issue was speed — the homepage could take several dozen seconds to load, which translated into problems for users when placing orders.

The main challenge was to create a faster, simpler to buy from, and more flexible store that better caters to dominant mobile traffic, supports product personalisation, integrates sales with the logistics backend, and provides a solid foundation for the brand's growth — including expansion into international markets.

Our approach

We began with a technical analysis of the existing store to check whether rebuilding it on a lighter technological foundation would tangibly improve its performance. A prototype of the new solution demonstrated a noticeable difference in performance at an early stage.

On this basis, we decided together with the client that instead of implementing further fixes to the old structure, we would rebuild the store from scratch. The new deployment was built from the ground up — in line with the functional requirements, visual preferences, and the way BlessYou users shop online.

We focused on speed, simplifying the purchasing process, delivering a better mobile experience, and integrations with the operational backend. The entire setup was designed to ensure the store supports product range development, product personalisation, and the brand's expansion into new markets.

Selected project elements

Selected screens show how we combined the BlessYou brand aesthetics with a fast, mobile-friendly, and conversion-optimised online store prepared for further sales growth.

Scope of work

Technical store analysis

We analysed the previous solution to determine what was causing slow performance, more difficult maintenance, and limited flexibility for future growth.

Online store rebuild

We designed and deployed a new store on WordPress, based on a lighter and more future-proof approach to e-commerce development — aligned with the platform's evolution.

Bespoke design and UX

We prepared an individual store design and simplified the customer journey, with a particular focus on convenient usability on mobile devices.

Product personalisation

We implemented a personalisation mechanism for selected products, allowing users to tailor their purchase to a specific occasion and reinforcing the uniqueness of the BlessYou range.

Integrations and automations

We integrated the store with the operational backend and sales support tools to reduce manual work for the team and streamline order processing.

Analytics and growth foundation

We configured analytical and marketing tools and prepared the store with a view to further product range expansion and international growth.

How the project was delivered

We started by understanding what was genuinely limiting sales and day-to-day operations in the existing store. This combined a technical review of the current setup with the client’s perspective on user behaviour, the buying journey and the elements they considered critical for conversion.

The process included working closely to compare business expectations with our technological point of view. Together, we discussed what should be simplified, what needed a different approach and where custom functionality would make sense from both a user and operational perspective.

This way of working allowed us to make decisions throughout the project with a clear shared context of business needs and technical possibilities. Each key element — from the structure of the store to product configuration, mobile experience and checkout flow — was shaped through a balance of client insight, technical feasibility and sales logic.

Results

BlessYou has gained a faster, more stable, and more user-friendly store that better matches their customers' shopping habits. The most significant change was transitioning from a slow, hard-to-maintain solution to an e-commerce platform that supports sales instead of hindering them.

The new store simplifies the purchasing process, performs better on mobile devices, and reduces friction that previously hindered order placement. Personalisation of selected products also allows the brand to expand its product range towards more unique, tailored purchases.

Thanks to integrations, automation, analytics, and preparation for international expansion, the store has become a solid foundation for the brand's further development. Technology is no longer just a sales backdrop — it actively supports operations, marketing, and e-commerce scaling.
